52nd Anniversary of M*A*S*H

M*A*S*H celebrated its 52nd anniversary earlier this week. Our favorite comedy series debuted on September 17th, 1972. This is the first time since 2011 that I forgot to post about the anniversary on the anniversary. I think I can be forgiven this year, however. It was only a few days ago that my double pinkeye cleared up and before that I managed to catch three colds in six weeks.

If you haven’t already read everything I’ve written about the series premiere, now’s your chance:

On the subject of anniversaries, you may recall I started publishing monthly Through the Years posts in October 2022 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of M*A*S*H. The posts include images from two episodes per season to show how a cast member evolved over the course of the show. I only got through three before lack of time forced me to stop. I did publish a fourth in October 2023. Earlier this summer, I finally sat down and grabbed all the images I need to finish posts for the rest of the cast. I hope to have one finished next week.
