And the Winner Is: Eric, who correctly identified “Dear Sigmund.”
Name That Episode
I have two guesses, but I’ll go with O.R.
Talking to myself again. I think it is either that one, or War of Nerves.
I’ll go with War of Nerves. Yes, that is my final answer.
One of my favorites. Dear Sigmund – when Sidney writes to Freud about the cast of the 4077th. This is right before Sidney leaves and Radar is unavailing the tree for the first day of Spring.
Hey Eric, you beat me by 1 minute.
That was very close! Got out of class early today, so was able to get in my guess!
I think it’s:
“Dear Sigmund” (5×07)
One of the best episodes of Season 5. Alan should be proud of having written this one.
‘Dear Sigmund’
Congrats, Eric!!!
To add to Chai’s previous statement, I agree, this was definitely one of Alan’s better scripts (matter of fact, I think he said it was also one of his favorite episodes), and it’s certainly one of my favorite episodes (specifically one of my favorite cold-snap episodes, lol).
With all due respect to Alan, he is a great writer, though his scripts for M*A*S*H seem to have come in cycles of hits and misses, but this one is certainly a hit, and I think we can all agree with that.
I was trying to guess one with Sidney in it, but could NOT figure out what that was Radar had. So I decided it might be the start of the bonfire to burn the clothes – and everything else. But I think you guys have it (Note Sidney’s had to the far right)
Hat, not had – evidently with Sidney under it!
Wow, I really thought the episode was “The Light That Failed” from Season 6…guess not.
Congrats Eric
Another great episode!!
“The Light That Failed”?
I dunno… it was okay… I DID like how Hawkeye tried to put Charles in his place, yet Charles was still concerned about his own welfare.
I will say “O.R.”, because the tall character on the right looks like Henry, so it’s season1-3.
Actually, Henry is the tall character on the LEFT. And thank you Chai for pointing the way.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, take my advice: Pull down your pants and slide on the ice.”
I don’t think that is Henry. O.R. was my first guess too.
Oops, sorry, Pink, I meant you. I’ve been reading the posts too fast all day (and had to go back to correct mine) 🙁
Eric is correct, the episode is “Dear Sigmund.” Congrats.
