NOTE: This week’s installment of Caption This was not published Wednesday as scheduled. Sorry for the delay.

The Caption This game is played every Wednesday at 12PM Eastern. Every week, I’ll post an image from an episode of M*A*S*H and ask readers to provide a caption. This is not a competition, there is no winner, and you can share as many captions as you want.

This week’s image is from the Season 9 episode “No Laughing Matter.” Take a look and hit the comments with your best idea for a caption.

Still from the MASH episode No Laughing Matter.

Check back next Wednesday for another installment of Caption This.

I have disc jockey’s instinct that tune will make a comeback on the charts, at least on a patient chart or two, before the end of the war! A quick note of disinterest: a Col. Sherman Potter – that’s Potter – has his horse double parked near the latrine. See to it soon as possible, if you’re not too inconvenienced at the moment. Am I a better jock than Radar or what? Back with a swing hit that’s a miss after a messy message from the mess hall. The time is 4 years before rock ‘n’ roll!”

  2. Attention, all personnel. Benjamin Franklin Berle here with a bulletin from HQ. Court-martial proceedings began today for Colonel Horace Baldwin. He is charged with slander of an officer and improper conduct in a war zone. Let’s all hope the Army does what’s right and throw this VIP in the stockade permanently. That is all.
