Nielsen Rank: 43

The 20th episode of M*A*S*H aired 50 years ago today. “The Army-Navy Game” aired for the first time on Sunday, February 25th, 1973 on CBS.

Here’s the capsule summary from my Episode Spotlight for the episode:

Hawkeye and Trapper risk their lives to defuse an unexploded bomb in the compound.

With this episode, McLean Stevenson became the second member of the M*A*S*H cast involved in scripting an episode. Unlike Alan Alda, who wrote the script for “The Longjohn Flap,” Stevenson only provided the story for “The Army-Navy Game.”

Check back next week for the next installment of 50 Years of M*A*S*H.
