Name That Episode
Darn, I recognize this scene, but cannot immediately recall which episode.
I am going to guess …”Dead Dad … again” or “Major Fred C. Dobbs”
Five O’Clock Charlie?
Oh man I should know this! The PA announcer says something (some sexual innuendo I believe) and that guy looks up and gives like a thumbs up to the announcer. I just can’t think what it’s from and it’s driving me crazy!
same here!
Almost certain that this is from ‘Major Fred C. Dobbs.’ Coincidentally, this aired on a rerun a few days ago, which I happened to see. The snippet is from the scene after Hawkeye and Trapper surreptitiously record Margaret and Frank in her tent and then play the recording for the camp afterward.
YES! that’s the scene. Margaret and Frank on the PA. Been driving me crazy. Thanks!
You got it, Taylor!!
Honestly, I don’t know how many times I’ve seen each episode, but I could only guess one of these ever since I discovered this site (that was a while ago). How the hell can one pay attention to every frame?
For me I tend to get a sense of which season it is by the characters in the picture and the look of it. The early seasons have a certain gritty kinda “look” to it that I recognize, the mid seasons have kind of a dull look to it, and the later seasons start to look a bit more clear.
From there I look at the picture for awhile and just try and envision the scene it’s from. Once I can get a strong idea of what scene it’s from, usually not hard to figure out the episode.
Sometimes it’s just impossible to tell though, when it’s just some random extra or character, but I can at least almost always tell if it’s early (1-3), mid (4-7) or late (8-11) season.
“Major Fred C. Dobbs” is correct. Congrats to Crabapple Cove.
Sorry it took so long to confirm the correct answer. Last minute changes to my holiday plans kept me away from the computer longer than anticipated.
