The reference is, of course, to the long-running radio and TV series Your Hit Parade, which featured the top songs in the USA each week. The radio version ran from 1935-1953 while the TV version ran from 1950-1959.
That’s funny. I watched ‘Your Hit Parade’ (the M*A*S*H episode) a couple of nights ago, and I can’t for the life of me remember when this still would be. Can anyone clear this up for me?
