I’ve been catching up on the first 3 seasons as tribute and paying special attention to all of Wayne’s episodes. He really did have great comic timing and his lines, though fewer and fewer, hit their mark each time.

    Especially memorable:
The Figure A and Figure B monologue.

“I peeked at the end, Frank. The devil did it.”

Trapper: “He’s not a pervert.” Margaret: “How do you know?” Trapper: “Because I’m one and he’s never at the meetings.”

    Frank: “Bullets cost bucks, mister.”
Trapper: “I’d like that tattooed on my thigh.”

    He’ll be missed!!

    • Crabapple Cove says:

Indeed. Trapper’s comic timing is excellent.

      from “Crisis”

Hennry: “Now, Radar will be the housing officer. Before this is over we may have to double up or triple up to save heat. Radar will decide who sleeps with who.”
Trapper: “Radar, I’d like to see you right after the meeting.”

Hawkeye: “I’m not an officer. Two guys from the Draft Board caught me with a big butterfly net.”
Frank: “There you go! There’s your lounge lizard at war.”
Trapper: “That one I gotta write down”

    • RJ says:

“I peeked at the end, Frank. The devil did it.”

Probably my favorite line from all of M*A*S*H.

MeTv’s running 2 episodes a night this week that heavily feature Trapper?

Are they going to run out of episodes?
