Ooh! It’s on the tip of my fingers… isn’t there where Frank leaves Mulcahy a note, and the patient mistakes him for a chaplain, and confesses that he shot himself in the foot to get sent home? Um… I can’t remember if it’s “Private Charles Lamb”, or the one where the Luxomberg soldier is assumed to be dead but he really isn’t. One of those two.
The Luxomberg episode was just on History channel and this isn’t it. It’s PCL for sure. This is when Frank goes into FM’s tent and rights him a note “Father, dear father. Father dear father come home with me now (giggles)” Then the soldier comes in and thinks Frank is the padre and confesses that he shot himself in the foot.
