Rogers To Recieve Hollywood Star

Wayne Rogers has been nominated for a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. According to Rogers and 28 other actors, musicians, producers and cartoon characters will be receiving stars in 2005. In order to receive a star, a celebrity must not only agree to be present at a ceremony (unless they’re deceased) but a $15,000 payment is required. Fans of James Doohan (Scotty from Star Trek) raised the $15,000 required to get the aging actor his star. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce then ratifies a handful of nominations each year.

Also receiving stars in 2005 are Ben Stiller, Soupy Sales, David Hyde Pierce, Tim Allen, Billy Joel, Tom Brokaw and Donald Duck, along with many others.
