Actor Art Evans, who guest starred in the Season 8 episode “Private Finance,” died earlier this month (December 21) at the age of 82. He had a small role as Corporal Dolan, a soldier who served with the deceased Corporal Eddie Hastings. Dolan and another soldier, Corporal Vitello (played by Philip Simms), told Hawkeye and B.J. the truth about Hastings, who wasn’t as squeaky clean as he looked.

Starting in 1976, Evans worked steadily as an actor for five decades in movies and on television. He had roles in movies Christine, A Soldier’s Story, Die Hard 2, Fright Night, School Daze, and many others. From 1986 to 1988, he co-starred in the sitcom 9 to 5 alongside during its two seasons in first-run syndication. The show also starred Edward Winter, who played Colonel Flagg on M*A*S*H.
According to the Internet Movie Database, his final role was as a voice actor in two episodes of the animated series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder that aired in April 2022 and February 2023, respectively.
