New Prop Spotlight: Potter’s Paintings

I’ve put together a new Prop Spotlight featuring Potter’s Paintings, which you can find here. There were a total of eight paintings actually seen on screen and three others that Potter was working on but were not shown. You can see them all, read a little about who actually painted them (hint: nobody knows) and where they are today (another hint: nobody knows).

Feel free to hit the comments with your favorite painting. I’m partial to the painting of Hawkeye with his feet on a table from “Hawkeye Get Your Gun” and the painting of an angry Charles with his mouth open from “The Winchester Tapes.”

  1. These paintings are my favorite of the props. I was of the school that believed Harry Morgan painted them, as there are various places on the internet that claim this to be true…. but I’m sure Larry Gelbart knew more about that!!!!!

    1. My favorite? I think I agree, if I were to choose one, it would be Hawkeye with his feet up. Looks just like the pose he loved!!! My least favorite is Hawkeye with the tower, it always looks to me like the tower and Hawkeye were done by two different people.

  2. I guess my favorite was Charles. It was a very good likeness of him. Least favorite was the Tower. The lines were a little to dark. Kinda looked like a sketching that color was added to rather than a painting.
