      1. Oh wow, we posted exactly at the same time! Well, I think you should get the bragging rights chuckles, since your response came before mine did. 😀

        As for this scene, syndication screwed this up… they completely removed Henry’s gushing over Lorraine’s “fantastic body”, with her flimsy nighties and her skin like alabaster, which makes Radar’s later comment to Hawkeye seem really random, perverted, and inappropriate.

    And I wouldn’t consider the game over until Round 256 anyway, considering splitting up the hour-long episodes increased the number from 251 to 256.

  4. My least favorite episode and one I have watched probably twice in all the times I have watched the entire show (which is more than 20 times)

      1. Well, its an episode that is truly heartbreaking to watch. Henry was supposed to go home to his wife. He had a son whom he never got to see. He was going home to live out the rest of his life as Mr. Dr. Henry Blake and he was cheated out of it.

        This episode demonstrates the cruelty of war. We see enough death and destruction as it is. To kill off a beloved character was just taking it too far. I cannot and will not watch this episode.

  6. “Abyssinia, Henry” is of course correct. Congrats to chuckles. I probably should have tried to find an image not featuring Colonel Blake from the episode, now that I think about it.

    Also, it turns out this is the 3,000th comment to be left at MASH4077TV.com (going back to August 2007 when I began using WordPress at what was then called M*A*S*H, Finest Kind).

  7. Ironically, if anyone was watching MASH on Tuesday, 2/14 on TVLand (or plans to watch Wednesday 2/15) this episode was (will be) on. And I get to be the lucky 3,001st comment. I feel so special….LOL.

    1. radioman, I was just going to post that this was on TVLand last night! A really sad episode – and the turning point for MASH to a true dramady.
