MASH4077TV.com has launched. I haven’t settled on whether or not to stylize the name as M*A*S*H 4077 TV or MASH4077TV.com but for the moment the latter is what I’m going with. The redesign I envisioned far exceeded my coding/programming abilities; I cannot believe how much I had forgotten in the years since I first created the M*A*S*H, Finest Kind WordPress site back in August of 2007. Over the next few weeks I will be tweaking the new site. Hopefully everything works correctly. Please let me know if you find any broken links. Eventually, the old site and all its content and blog posts will redirect here. I haven’t set that up yet, however.
You might notice that the Interact section of the site has been removed. Much of that content will find its way into other sections of the site. I’ve created a forum/message board but ran into trouble with new user registration so I’ll be working on that and hopefully it will be live tonight. In all honesty, this new site is a bit of a mess. I had hoped it would be quick and easy to transfer the old WordPress installation to the new domain name. It was, for the most part, but I did not anticipate running into so many problems. But I wanted to launch today as promised, so please bear with me as I work things out.

I believe finest-kind.net is now redirecting here. I ran into some problems that may impact my plans going forward but hopefully anyone reading any post or page from finest-kind.net will be almost instantly redirected to the corresponding post or page at this domain name.

The Internet is an amazing place. Spambots have descended upon the comments here in the hundreds but so far not seem to have gotten through. On the plus side, the number of visits to MASH4077TV.com has already matched the average for finest-kind.net earlier this month, so people are getting here successfully. I wonder how long it will take for Google and other search engines (not to mention Wikipedia and IMDb) to drop finest-kind.net and add MASH4077TV.com, Wikipedia and other
The forum/message board should be ready to go by Sunday. I am still debating how to integrate content from the Interact section into the site.

Alright! Whoo! We’re gonna get a forum!
It appears any message we post at the moment has to be “approved” by an admin or moderator before they can be made public: is this intentional, or without knowledge?
I’m just curious, since it’s been a few days since I’ve tried posting and I see they still aren’t public, and I don’t know if other members who may have joined since then as well have tried posting too.
That was not intentional. There are so many settings in phpBB that it took me quite a while to even track down why posts were being moderated. I believe I have turned that setting off, so new users should not have a problem posting right away.
On an unrelated note, despite only being live for a few days, the forums already have had at least one spammer create a topic.
