New Feature: Anatomy of a M*A*S*H Script

This latest feature was the brainchild of M*A*S*H fan Eric, who has a collection of scripts from the series and was able to provide summaries of four unproduced/unfilmed “spec” scripts a few months ago. Eric scanned several pages from a script for “Death Takes A Holiday” that was used by Albert H. Frankel, who was the men’s costume director on the series. This production used script includes call sheets, production requirements, shooting schedules, cast and set lists, the actual script pages and revisions and wardrobe sheets in which Frankel wrote down what the male actors were wearing in various scenes.

In my opinion, this feature provides a fascinating behind the scenes look at the production of an episode of M*A*S*H. The production requirements is especially interesting. You get to see all the different crew members required a day’s filming, from camera operator to prop maker to set dresser to dialogue coach. The wardrobe sheet is equally interesting. So take a look at Eric’s new feature: Anatomy of a M*A*S*H Script. Please leave any comments at the feature page itself.
