Back in March 2004 several iconic items from M*A*S*H were put up for auction on eBay. Profiles In History, which calls itself “the nation’s largest and most respected dealer of original historical autographs and authentic Hollywood memorabilia” offered up Hawkeye’s robe and Colonel Potter’s cap, along with two other clothing items from the series. Hawkeye’s robe ended up selling for $8,500 and Potter’s cap for $1,900.
Now Profiles In History has another item from M*A*S*H, an original, screen-worn medic’s helmet. The auction will take place live online on July 30th, has a starting bid of $200, and is expected to sell for between $400 and $600. For the M*A*S*H fan who could never hope to purchase Hawkeye’s robe, this helmet is a chance to own a part of M*A*S*H history.
