Hallmark Channel M*A*S*H Bash 2007: Klinger Edition

On Monday, May 28th, 2007 (when Memorial Day is observed in the United States) the Hallmark Channel broadcast a twelve-hour marathon of M*A*S*H episodes hosted by Jamie Farr. The marathon was titled “M*A*S*H Bash ’07: Klinger Edition,” a follow-up to the “M*A*S*H Bash 2007” hosted by Wayne Rogers on January 1st, 2007 (read about that marathon here). A total of twenty episodes were aired between 8:00AM ET and 8:00PM ET. The episodes were uncut, running approximately 36 minutes each, and in order to fit more commercials the closing credits were shown during the tag scene at the end of each episode.

Only eleven of the episodes were actually introduced by Farr. Three different generic intros were used on the remaining nine episodes. The specific introductions ran roughly thirty seconds while the generic intros ran twenty to twenty-five seconds. During some of the commercial breaks Jamie Farr appeared in brief “outros” to entice viewers to stay tuned. These ran for 10 seconds. After the final episode finished, Farr returned to thank viewers for watching and to wish them a happy and safe holiday.

Here’s a list of the episodes making up the marathon:

“Chief Surgeon Who?”
“The Trial of Henry Blake”
“Officers Only”
“Officer of the Day”
“Big Mac”
“Mail Call, Again”
“Hawkeye, Get Your Gun”
“The Colonel’s Horse”
“38 Across”
“Souvenirs”
“Last Laugh”
“The Winchester Tapes”
“Change Day”
“The M*A*S*H Olympics”
“None Like It Hot”
“Major Ego”
“The Young and the Restless”
“Dear Uncle Abdul”
“Your Retention Please”
“Follies of the Living — Concerns of the Dead”

This was the last of Hallmark Channel’s M*A*S*H Bash marathons.

  1. Aww, I loved reliving these moments with Jamie, but I was hoping to see my favorite, where he had a dummy’s head covered with a blonde wig and fatigue cap, saying “I’m sorry, Major Houlihan could not be with us today”.
