Actor Jack Blessing, who played Captain Rollins in “Snappier Judgement” during Season 10 of M*A*S*H, died last month (November 14) at the age of 66. His character served as prosecutor during Klinger’s court martial for grand theft and wiped the floor with Charles.
According to his Internet Movie Database profile, Blessing began acting in the late 1970s with a pair of made-for-TV movies. Guest appearances on shows like Goodtime Girls and Quincy M.E. soon followed. In 1983, he co-starred with Darren McGavin in a short-lived CBS sitcom called Small & Frye. It ran for just six episodes.
He had recurring roles on Moonlighting, The Naked Truth, and George Lopez.
Obituaries can be found at Deadline Hollywood, The Hollywood Reporter.
(Thanks to Dan.)
He was best known to me as Mr. McGillicuddy from ‘Moonlighting.’ His most memorable role for me to have remembered him from that show rather than his 2-episode stint on M*A*S*H.
RIP.
Jack was my neighbor living in Villa Cresta in Parkville, Maryland. We both took guitar lessons together. Jack went to Calvert Hall High School. We were playmates growing up. I often helped him serving Sun Papers when he was sick or on vacation. Everyone in our neighborhood knew Jack.
