Last month’s poll, which asked “Did you watch “M*A*S*H — The Pilot” when it originally aired on CBS in 1972?,” received a record 430 votes. Things were split almost evenly right down the middle with 221 voting yes (51%) and 209 voting no (49%). That easily makes it the closest result in one of my polls to date. Am I surprised that so many people saw the series premiere when it actually premiered? Yes and no. Mostly no because this is a website dedicated to M*A*S*H. Personally, I did not watch the pilot when it first aired. But I have seen it four or five times since then.
If you did watch the premiere back in September of 1972, what do you remember about it?
I was in 10th grade in 72, and MASH came on too late for me to stay up and watch it, and still get up for school – so…. sadly my parents saw the pilot, but I didn’t.
i was in 2nd grade in 72 so I didn’t see it either……too young until season 4 or 5…..
