M*A*S*H Reference on Hulu’s 11.22.63

According to Curtis, an episode of Hulu’s original series 11.22.63 features a reference to M*A*S*H. Based on a novel by Stephen King, 11.22.63 stars James Franco as Jake Epping–a man who goes back in time to 1960 and tries to stop President Kennedy from being assassinated:

In the second episode (“The Kill Floor,” released February 22nd, 2016) time traveler Jake Epping is in a conversation with a veteran in 1960. He is asked “Did you serve?” and Jake replies “Yes. I was in the Medical Corps, M*A*S*H 4077.”

I’ve added this to my M*A*S*H References on Television page.

  1. Remember when Hulu used to be good? You didn’t have to pay for their services, and they were essentially just an alternative to YouTube in terms of video streaming sites. Now it’s like a competition for Netflix and even cable. If it wasn’t for Hulu, I probably would be familiar with Sid & Marty Kroffts’ lesser-known syndicated sitcom from the 80s, D.C. FOLLIES.
