Use this thread to discuss 07x16: B.J. Papa San.
I kind of see this as BJ's version of "In Love And War," where he gets attached to a group of natives, only to have that be taken away from him due to the war. It's a bit inconsistent at times, but I did enjoy this episode overall, and Mike Farrell's performance had a lot to do with that. My least favorite scene from that story was when the kids come out to beg BJ to stay, because it felt kind of mushy and forced. But other than that, it was an interesting twist to BJ's usual "missing his family" type of story.
The side-story, on the other hand, wasn't really that great. There were a few good moments (I particularly liked Charles and Klinger trying to get him to give them transfers, and Hawkeye's line at the end saying that he'd be safer up at the front lines), but it was a bit too repetitive and silly.
