This is one of Alan Alda's favorite episodes, and it's apparently based on a true story of an actual Korean aristocrat who took in a number of poor and homeless villagers into her home, all the while trying to take care of herself and her ailing mother.

Now, I don't really like this episode, however, after watching it again today, I kind of related a little more to Hawkeye falling in love with this woman, and then having to let her go. Kind of happened to me before.

M*A*S*H is at it's best as an ensemble cast. Apparently Alan Alda didn't get the memo, or chose to ignore it, as we're subjected to episodes like these from time to time. true story or not, this one's a clunker.
