More MeTV Articles

Talk about all things M*A*S*H -- the novel, the film, the television series, even the play. Not to mention the spin-offs, merchandise, cast, crew and anything else you can think of to talk about.

More MeTV Articles

Post by Big Daddy O'Reilly »

MeTV did a couple of more M*A*S*H articles for their official site today; one is a collection of rare behind-the-scenes photos, the other is a review of now-famous actors who appeared on the show:

http://metv.com/stories/10-rare-photos- ... of-m-a-s-h

Some of those behind-the-scenes photos I have seen, but a lot I haven't - I especially like the one with Alan and Mike messing around in Sophie's stable. And I had no idea Jeffrey Tambor and Rita Wilson were on M*A*S*H, and in fact, I actually thought that was John Candy as the MP in "Souvenirs."

I saw the article with the guest stars. Should I be proud of myself for knowing all of those guest stars were on M*A*S*H?

As for the behind-the-scenes pictures, it's nice to see high quality versions of the Prince Charles/Alan Alda picture and the McLean Stevenson/Gary Burghoff photo. I've only crummy scans or watermarked versions in the past.

The shot of the camp, with the signpost in the middle, doesn't look quite right. It sort of reminds me of an image from the individual season DVD sets, which I no longer own.

So MeTV's published two more articles on their site today pertaining to M*A*S*H and its cast:

http://metv.com/lists/the-hidden-talent ... sion-stars
http://metv.com/stories/21-times-radars ... ed-on-mash

The former is a list of different classic TV actors who also had other, lesser-known talents, and mentions Gary being a drummer . . . and apparently patented a design for a boat - that I never knew. The latter is a list detailing all the times we saw Radar's teddy bear on M*A*S*H - and they even draw attention to the bear being completely different in "As Time Goes By."
