M*A*S*H: Opening Titles in Syndication

Talk about all things M*A*S*H -- the novel, the film, the television series, even the play. Not to mention the spin-offs, merchandise, cast, crew and anything else you can think of to talk about.

M*A*S*H: Opening Titles in Syndication

Post by D_47 »

Has anyone noticed that when aired in syndication, the opening titles to seemingly every episode of M*A*S*H is out of sync? The video is usually a second or ahead of the music, leaving the intro to have a "disjointed" feel to it, with the sound effects out of place and what not.

Just figured I'd ask if anyone had noticed.

There's only two things I've ever noticed about the main titles in syndication:

1. The sequence where the ambulance pulls into camp is never as grainy or scratchy as it is on DVD for the first five seasons.
2. Season Five in syndication uses the chopper footage that was used for Seasons Six through Eleven.
