Resurrecting this thread once again to post an excerpt from a 1981 episode of PM Magazine Chicago featuring a behind-the-scenes look at M*A*S*H:

Re: New Logo?

I noticed the logo disappeared while upgrading the forum software last weekend but didn't have a chance to look into why it went away.

If you'd like to create a new logo, I'll be more than happy to figure out how to put it up.

Greetings to Any IMDb People

The IMDb message boards are shutting down February 20th. If anyone from the IMDb M*A*S*H message board stumbles upon the MASH4077TV.com Forums, welcome! This place doesn't get as much use as I'd like but maybe an influx of expats from IMDb will help liven things up. Other M*A*S*H message boards/foru...

Re: Books

Here's a list I've put together. I think it's complete. However, I have a vague recollection of once seeing a thin hardcover book about M*A*S*H with a green cover that I think was aimed at kids. But I can't find any trace of it online. My list does not include the Hooker/Butterworth novels. Books Ab...

Re: Have You Ever Read The Book?

That's correct. Technically, the original novel was written by Richard H. Hornberger with W.C. Heinz using the pen name Richard Hooker. I believe Hornberger wrote M*A*S*H Goes to Maine and M*A*S*H Mania on his own.

Re: M*A*S*H on AMC

I looked quickly last night and couldn't find any articles about AMC adding M*A*S*H, which is odd because usually cable channels make a big deal about airing the show. I'll look again tomorrow. Also, the first seven episodes of Season 1 are showing up on Comcast On Demand via Sundance TV. Comcast sa...

That's really neat. Glad you got to hear him talk. From everything I've read, he's incredibly passionate about science.

Re: New MeTV M*A*S*H Survey

I only got 50% similarity. It looks like picking Trapper John for many of the questions dropped by score quite a bit. I also picked Igor over Kellye and said B.J. was the person I'd probably stay in contact with.

Re: What if??

I'm not sure. It wouldn't have had nearly the same impact as killing off Henry did. Frank wasn't beloved by anyone--not even Margaret--by the end of the fifth season when Larry Linville left the series. On the other hand, we never really saw anyone at the 4077th really process Henry's death. We just...

I just checked and the embedded video in my post about the special from earlier this year still works. Hopefully it plays for you, too.

That's great news. I have a vague memory of reading about a version of the set with a t-shirt but can't recall any details.

Re: Watch New M*A*S*H TV Special Online

Ed Asner hosted a benefit gala that Swit, Farrell, Burghoff, and Farr were part of. These interviews were taped prior to the gala, so Ed Asner was probably hanging around the hotel and someone asked him to participate. I'm not sure how William Christopher got involved in the special, because he wasn...

Watch New M*A*S*H TV Special Online

I'll be posting about this at my blog in the next few days but thought I'd share it here, first. Back in early March, TV station WTVG (13ABC) in Toledo, Ohio aired a half-hour TV special called "M*A*S*H Memories & Magic" featuring interviews with Loretta Swit, Mike Farrell, Jamie Farr,...

Re: 2009 TVLand Awards

I don't know if you've seen this post at my blog about the 2009 TV Land Awards. It doesn't include any video, unfortunately, but it has a few pictures and a transcript of Alan Alda's speech accepting the Impact Award. TV Land used to have the video at its website but it's been gone for years. I didn...
