Re: Heard Margaret and Trapper on the Radio Today

I have a coworker who listens to the radio every day (not sure what station but I think it is Sirius XM) and I occasionally hear a portion of the M*A*S*H theme playing. I have no idea why.

Re: Gothics? (Vampire, werewolf, etc) references in M*A*S*H

Hawkeye does a brief impersonation of Bela Lugosi in "Germ Warfare" while he and Trapper are preparing to draw Frank's blood ("Good work, Igor. Very good. In the morning he will be one of my brides"). And in "O.R." Klinger does his own Lugosi impersonation ("Blood!...

Attached is the slightly larger screen capture of the Charles painting. Also, I removed your e-mail address from your post just to be on the safe side.

User Ranks

When I was setting up the forums I had the option of setting user ranks that would correspond to a certain number of posts. I thought I had put together six or seven ranks based on the U.S. Army but it turns out I only set up three: Private - 0 Posts Corporal - 25 Posts Sergeant - 50 Posts Has anyon...

Re: Interesting eBay finds

I had never heard of Cobi before and initially thought it was just a LEGO rip-off but they are very popular in Poland and the company has a large military line. Here is the website. You can buy the MASH set at Amazon.com for $49.64 . If it was closer to $20 I might buy it simply because I loved LEGO...

Re: Paintings - images or real?

Not long after I posted my reply, RJ did a nice prop spotlight on Col. Potters paintings at the MASH4077tv homepage. http://www.mash4077tv.com/features/prop_spotlight_potters_paintings/ Wonderful! Thanks. I'm going to try and blow it up a big and print on canvas as a present to my brother who is al...

Interesting eBay finds

I thought it might be fun to post interesting, unusual or strange eBay finds relating to M*A*S*H. Here are are few to get things going: A very weird looking but apparently official beach towel, circa 1974 Rare Hawkeye Durham motorcycle (which I wrote about back in 2010) Cobi (like LEGOs) building bl...

Re: What Are Your Favorite Board Games To Play?

I have been known to enjoy a game of Trouble every now and then.

Is anyone familiar with Pull the Rug Out? I am not sure it is technically a board game but I had some fun with it when I was a kid.

Re: What Does the Future Hold?

I have not decided yet. I was actually planning on posting something here asking for suggestions. I have contemplated a variation of the Name That Episode game featuring audio snippets taken from episodes, but that would pose problems for people at work or school who may not be able to listen to aud...

Re: Possible Spammers

I just went through and cleared out another bunch of spam topics and posts. To be honest, I am not sure what else I can do to stop spammers, although it does look like the last batch of posts were made in late November, so maybe thing have tapered off for some reason.

I thought for sure he would make it to 100. But 96 is still a darn good run.

Re: User Avatars

I have doubled the file size for avatars from 6kB to 12kB. I really have no idea what would be a good limit; if the size limit is too high, pages here will take longer to load. So we will continue to play it by ear.

Big Daddy O'Reilly wrote:I think perhaps the file size limit could be risen a tad, otherwise the larger the avatar, the lower the quality to stay at the limit.
I will look into that.

A big thank you to Big Daddy O'Reilly for providing the new logo featuring Hawkeye, Margaret and Radar. It looks great!
