Re: (01x08) 008 - Cowboy
I liked this one. My favorite up to this point in the series. Of course, it had a lot of great humor with the assassination attempts on Henry (that sounds so weird...), his growing anxiety, and the anxiety of those around him (Radar giving him the papers attached to the pole, and people not wanting ...

Re: (01x07) 007 - Bananas, Crackers and Eggs
A really good episode IMO. I do think the first half was a bit better than the second half, as Hawkeye tries to convince Frank he's going crazy so he can get a pass to Tokyo. I especially liked the scene with the liver. "You ruined my liver! Ruined it! And we're all out of North Koreans!" ...

Re: (01x06) 006 - Yankee Doodle Doctor
I really liked this one. Hawkeye accepting the leading role just to spite Frank was great, and I liked his growing discontent towards the film and the producer. And I actually thought the movie was really well done. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but it was a really good representation of the Marx...

Re: (01x05) 005 - The Moose
I thought this was a pretty fun episode, albeit not one of my favorites. I like the story idea of the Moose, and the characters' reactions to the idea. My favorite part of the episode was easily the card game ("I'm blocked"). The people lessons bordered on cheesy, but was also kind of ente...

Henry: "Will you stop saying what I am thinking?" Radar: "One of us has to." Radar (reading a letter Flagg dictated to him): "Mary had a little lamb. Stop. My dog has fleas. Stop." Flagg: "Good. There's a bit more. Mairzy doats and dozy doats, and I'll be home for ...

Re: (01x04) 004 - Chief Surgeon Who?
I'm a bit mixed about this one. In the threads for the episodes before this, I've mentioned how the show tended to have more typical sit-com elements in these early episodes than I'd come to expect from the show as a whole, and that's definitely true for this one as well. In fact, the whole idea of ...

Re: (01x03) 003 - Requiem for a Lightweight
Another sit-com like story, as BDOR pointed out. I'm not a big fan of the boxing type of story in sit-coms (outside of maybe Taxi, since it was built into Tony's character), but they can still be fairly entertaining if done right. And I think this one's pretty good. Maybe one of the better ones for ...

Re: (01x02) 002 - To Market, To Market
I really liked this one as well. While some early episodes may have been more like a traditional sit-com than I'd expect from MASH, it's interesting to see how they tie in more serious elements into these stories. In this episode, I think the set-up was really interesting, showing how the black mark...

Re: (01x01) 001 - M*A*S*H -- The Pilot
As I said in the season 1 discussion thread, it's interesting going back to the beginning of the series and seeing just how different things were from what the show would become. Characters that were written out, characters acting a bit differently from how we'd come to know them, etc. It also felt ...

Re: Who Is Your Least Favorite Character On Mash?
Mine would be Frank. Though I will say that over the years, my opinion of him has changed a bit. First, I liked him as a good comedic foil to Hawkeye and Trapper/BJ. After a while, my appreciation for the character diminished as a direct result of my increasing love of Charles' character. Basically,...

Re: (10x04) 222 - Rumor at the Top
An obvious throwback to the early years, both in terms of the story (which was similar to "Divided We Stand") and comedy style. I will say that some parts of it did feel a bit forced, but it was pretty enjoyable overall. I especially loved all the Klinger scenes, especially him flipping th...

Re: (10x03) 221 - Identity Crisis
A pretty good episode. The main storyline with Mulcahy was pretty interesting. I am a bit surprised Mulcahy didn't think of saying that it would hurt his friend's family until he went to Potter for advice, but despite that it was pretty interesting seeing him struggle to get through to the soldier. ...

Re: (10x02) 220 - That's Show Biz, Part 2
I'm a bit torn about whether it's a good thing this was an hour, since it has so many stories with the main characters and the USO characters, or if it's a bad thing, because there are times when it feels a bit too padded out. I will say that, watching it this time, I did enjoy it more than I rememb...

Re: (09x20) 218 - The Life You Save
I think this is a good example of an episode's A and B stories working against each other, and kind of weakening the episode as a result (though that isn't to say I dislike the episode, because it's still one of the better ones IMO). For what it's worth, I did like the tray story for what it was. Th...

Re: (09x19) 217 - The Foresight Saga
I think the idea behind this episode, with a letter from Radar was pretty interesting, and that was the best part of the episode. I did like the reactions to them hearing about his "success," and then finding out it was a lie. The other stories weren't as interesting. I'd say the Korean ki...
