Re: Watch New M*A*S*H TV Special Online

It was an interesting special to watch - got to learn a few new things that I didn't already know. Not really sure why Ed Asner is there. Wonder why Alan's not there? I can understand DOS not wanting to be there though.

That's from "Springtime," in Season 3 (specifically, 3x06). Henry marries them over the radio.

Re: 2009 TVLand Awards

I have it on tape, but unfortunately, I'm not even sure how I could try to get and post it online, as the VCR half of my DVD recorder keeps acting up and won't play certain tapes, and to top it all off, apparently nobody manufactures my prefered recordable DVDs anymore (+RW), so I just really don't ...

Re: Hogan's Heroes/M*A*S*H crossovers

I actually hosted a game on the forum a long time ago guessing the identity of M*A*S*H actors from their guest appearances on HOGAN'S HEROES, which you can find here: http://www.mash4077tv.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=208 And likewise I also mentioned the unidentified black extra in this thread: h...

Re: British and American English

You'll appreciate this, Florist: I heard the word "limey" for the first time yesterday. It was on a cable show we have here in the U.S. called WORLD'S DUMBEST...: it's a celebrity commentary show where they show a countdown of 20 clips for an hour of people blundering, bumbling, and otherwise just d...

Re: British and American English

On the subject of different accents and such, here's an excerpt from an interview Richard Dawson did a couple of years before he died, explaining how he wanted to give Newkirk a Scouse accent instead of a cockney, but was told people couldn't understand what he was saying: V4t8K-xTliM He does have a...

Re: British and American English

I. . . . guess not? Because, honestly, I have never heard the time "limey" before in my life. The closest thing I ever hear is "blimey," which Brits seem to say a lot in our shows and movies over here . . . do you guys really say that a lot, or is it one of those exaggerated stereotypes like how we ...

Re: Best Trapper episodes

"Radar's Report" contains perhaps the single best performance by Wayne Rogers on the series as Trapper contemplates killing a wounded POW. Larry Gelbart said that was one of his favorite Trapper moments, citing that Trapper, as a character, could be really serious and gutsy at time. I agree with Ra...

Those we call "cribs." Though, ironically, "crib" is also a slang term for what people in the rap and hip-hop industry like to refer to as where they live, lol.
