Re: Who do you like more.....

B.J.- he was a better friend to Hawkeye. The relationship dynamic was more significant between the two men. Trapper was just a buddy to Hawk while B.J. was a best friend. That's how I've felt about Hawkeye's respective friendships with Trapper and B.J. To me, I feel like Trapper's friendship was on...

Re: Father Mulcahy

I honestly can't remember off the top of my head, but I want to say it must be from Season 7, because I seem to recall the scene involving Hawkeye and a mustachio'd B.J. walking into the Officers Club, and Klinger remarking something along the lines of, "Oh, boy, he's just killin' the Happy Hour." B...

Re: Alan Alda Came to My Town

Very much so, and I can see why he's working on sort of "training" scientists and educators in a way of making their explanations of something more engaging, so that people are more able to really absorb and comprehend what they're talking about. Interestingly, he did two exercizes, one of which was...

Alan Alda Came to My Town

The University of Tennessee has recently started hosting a series of lectures in the field of communicating science - last year, the guest speaker was Bill Nye the Science Guy, but this year's guest was none other than Alan Alda. The lecture was open to the public, and free, so I attended. It was a ...

Re: Father Mulcahy

I think there was an episode where he was playing a tune, much to Hawkeye's annoyance, so he jokingly asks Mulcahy the tune he's playing, to which he says, "Oh, just an old ragtime I used to play," or something to that effect. There's another episode where he's playing another tune pretty badly, and...

New MeTV M*A*S*H Survey

MeTV had this really interesting M*A*S*H survey to see how popular your opinion is among other M*A*S*H fans - take it yourself and see: http://www.metv.com/quiz/how-popular-are-your-m-a-s-h-opinions I got a 69% similarity result; here's what my personal answers were: 1. Someone else (Radar) 2. Of co...

Re: What if??

Coincidentally, we were discussing this very subject over at the Best Care Anywhere forum very recently. My personal feeling is this: I feel like most of the camp would be totally indifferent to the news of Frank's death - especially Henry, considering all of the crap Frank gave him for being such a...

Re: MASH the animated series?

Haha, funny, I love it! I did the same thing when I took Flash in high school and made some ED, EDD N EDDY animations sampling dialogue from the actual show. Love the style, by the way - it's like M*A*S*H meets Korty Films, and Hawkeye seems like a rambling madman here, lol!

Re: M*A*S*H timeline

Shit. It took me an hour and a half to type up additional, historical information that would added even more episodes to the timeline, but when I tried to post, I apparently got logged out and had to log back in, and my entire post disappeared . . . and I don't feel like typing all of that over agai...

Re: (03x19) 067 - Aid Station

I've realized there's something poignant about this episode in retrospect: the bedtime scene in the Swamp. Notice who's in it? Trapper, Henry, Frank, and Radar. Only those four. And each of those characters would eventually depart from the show: Trapper and Henry by season's end, Frank two seasons l...

Re: M*A*S*H timeline

I was rewatching "For the Good of the Outfit" tonight (shocking, I know), and I noticed during the tag, the response letter Hawkeye got from his dad was dated May 24, 1951, which is odd, considering the previous episode, Radar's Report, took place in October of that same year. Not sure how long the ...

Re: Jeep Caps

Sorry for the bump, but in watching that WTVG special RJ had linked, I thought it was interesting that among the personal little mementos that the cast kept after the show ended (such as Jamie still having Klinger's big pink slippers, or Mike Farrell having B.J.'s San Francisco sign from the signpos...

Re: Watch New M*A*S*H TV Special Online

It was an interesting special to watch - got to learn a few new things that I didn't already know. Not really sure why Ed Asner is there. Wonder why Alan's not there? I can understand DOS not wanting to be there though.
