Re: Welcome to the MASH4077TV.com Forums

That's true, most, if not all, forums usually have 100x100 as default.

What if like the width limit was 150px, and the height limit was 200? Just a little extra room for additional add-ons and captions and such, like...

Another Suggestion?

RJ, I've been thinking: I know that phpBB lets people choose different themes/"skins" for their forums and such, do you think you could possibly look into offering different themes for users here to choose from, particularly any that may look more "army" or "military" to really kind of make the atmo...

Re: The Laugh Track

Actually, there's ANOTHER connection between M*A*S*H and Hogan's Heroes right there... Hogan's Heroes tried to get away with not having a laugh track either. The problem was that when they tested the Hogan pilot with audiences, they were left confused, because they weren't sure what they had just wa...

Re: Welcome to the MASH4077TV.com Forums

I wouldn't mind having custom avatars... matter of fact, I tried to upload one of my own before I saw that we could only use the default ones to choose from. And large avatars are rather popular these days, but I've seen some avatars that are so large, they're like the size of a screencap, which is ...

Re: Introductions

I don't know what had gotten into Curtis there, but BCA usually does have a sense of community, it's just going through another one of it's little lulls right now, because just about the only ones there posting on a semi-regular basis at the moment are myself, Jeeter, and Dani... others as such as B...

Re: Welcome to the MASH4077TV.com Forums

Usually, threads are created for those specific purposes... and yes, we actually had a thread specifically for sharing pics and such (but then again, the main site had photo galleries as well). And you're right, that can cause a problem when forums become TOO specific with several different category...

Re: Welcome to the MASH4077TV.com Forums

I think you can do that with pretty much any forum type... for example, here's a screencap of my old Kathy Greenwood forum (won't link it, because due to the server's manager being MIA for over two years now, I've closed the forum since the entire service is slowly, yet steadily going downhill). htt...

Re: Introductions

Indeed my friend, 80 degrees F, right now, is NOTHING compared to what we're going through right now... thought that actually IS close to what our average for this time of year is SUPPOSED to be. And I don't believe there's an ability to edit posts at BCA. ;) But don't worry, if anyone tries to give...

Re: What are some of your favorite films?

My all-time favorite movie is Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story... I haven't laughed so hard at a movie like that since the first time I saw Good Burger.

The Laugh Track

I'm sort of touching on a topic RJ talked about recently, regarding the use of the laugh track on the show. Now, I know that most people out there denounce the laugh track, saying things like it's insulting to viewers' intelligence because it tells them when they're supposed to laugh and such, but t...

Re: Does Anyone Own Any Of The Mash DVD's?

I have Seasons One through Five in a rare, limited edition gift set, Seasons Six and Seven individually, and the GFA set that includes the extra features, because I was among those who complained to 20th Century Fox about how wrong it was for fans to have to repurchase all eleven seasons again in a ...

Facts That Don't Add Up

RJ's recent postings about secrecy, and urban legends, and whatnot surrounding the show reminded me that there was a lot to the show that really didn't add up according to stories and recollections from cast and crew members... for example: Larry Gelbart said that they were prohibited from using the...

One-Season Wonders

You guys know about "One-Hit Wonders", right? Where a band or musical group only records one song, that becomes very popular? Or when an obscure band only has one song from their roster than stands out among the rest of their relatively unknown work (like Baha Men with "Who Let the Dogs Out")? Well,...

Favorite Era

I've read that Larry Gelbart, Gene Reynolds, and Burt Metcalfe tend to break up the show into three "eras": Seasons One through Four, Season Five as it's own, and Seasons Six through Eleven; in a way it makes sense, because One through Four is when Larry was in charge, Five was when Gene was in char...
