Philip Sherman: I waited in the bar for you until 4 AM.

Margaret: I told you I wasn't coming.

Sherman: You didn't lie.

Re: Character Actors I Would Have Love to Have Seen on M*A*S*H

Interesting. Right off the bat, Paul Lynde would have been fine in the first three seasons. He's a very screwball comedian, and I could see him getting into some sort of antics with Hawkeye and Trapper, probably at the expense of Frank and Margaret. Alice Ghostley, Mary Grace Canfield, and Reta Shaw...

Re: New Game!! Guess My Signature's Episode!!

The episode is A Holy Mess.

Father Mulcahy tells this to the deserting soldier after he pulled his rifle on him.

David Graf played the MP Lieutenant. He is most famous as Tackleberry from the Police Academy movies.

Re: My Study of Father Mulcahy's Character

I have a great deal of sympathy for the character, because I've also been a chaplain. I was not a military chaplain, but a law enforcement chaplain. I retired last year after 30 years, and for the last few I was the chaplain at my duty station. Now, law enforcement chaplains in general are different...

Re: New Facebook Group

For the past couple of years or so, I belonged to a pretty neat M*A*S*H Facebook group, however I was recently banned from the group after a fight broke out between myself and another member who was very much reminiscent to Frank Burns; so saying, I decided to open up a new Facebook group, and I'm ...

Re: MASH Top 10 Episodes

I had trouble finding only ten episodes, so I limited it to my 15 favorite episodes, ordered by season. First, I have to say that except for the rare episode, the first three seasons are my favorites, followed by the next two. In my opinion, the show worked better with Frank, even with him being the...

Re: Least Favorite Episodes

I tend to agree with most of what people have written here. Allow me to add these episodes: The Moose (1x05). Preachy and tedious. Yes, Hawkeye, we get you don't like the demeaning attitude that many Americans hold toward Koreans. And OF COURSE, Yong Hi gets it and breaks away from being a moose. So...

MASH Maydays on Me-TV

I just saw this on the Me-TV site. I'm a bit disappointed--no Klinger, Father Mulcahy, or even Charles episodes. And in a glaring error, in the description for the episode Sometimes You Hear The Bullet, it is said that Ron Howard plays Hawkeye's childhood friend!!!!!!!! That being said, I'm looking ...

Re: Favorite M*A*S*H lines

Another great Flagg line: "My father touched me like that once. To this day, he still wears orthopedic shirts." Note: There is a very similar line delivered by Danny Vermin (Joe Piscopo) in the movie Johnny Dangerously. That line is, "My father touched me like that once...ONCE!" ...

Things That I've Noticed In MASH

I'm new on this board, but I've noticed a few things in MASH-- 1.) Early on, I think just in the first season, whenever a General showed up, the music was a fanfare based on the theme. Reminds of the various themes they had on Hogan's Heroes when Burkhalter, Hochstetter, or a visiting bigwig showed ...
