Re: "War Co-Respondent" (8x23)
Miss Ginger, we could start a whole thread on the troller - just drool over every male actor from the 1970's. But when she sang the praises of Jack Klugman in tight pants, that was the final straw. But all this would be for a new thread. This thread is about War Co-Respondent and I don't want to do ...

Praise for seasons 1-3 + alternate universe
I have been watching MASH since 1981 and I never got into the Trapper/Henry seasons because I never found them to be very entertaining. Whenever I watched the show in syndication, I'd skip the episode if Potter and Hunnicutt were not in it. Lately, I purchased the first 7 seasons on DVD and watched ...

Re: "War Co-Respondent" (8x23)
"War Co-Respondent" was written by Mike Farrell in an attempt to give his character the lead story line so he could take a starring turn, for once. He acts all "aw shucks" and humble which was kind of a throwback to season 4 B.J. but doesn't ring true anymore. Farrell wasn't the ...

Re: Another Have You Noticed
Just noticed this in “A Full Rich Day”...There's a scene where Trapper is working on a wounded soldier in the ER while the soldier's Lt looks on with a rifle. As the scene progresses and the camera starts to pan around, Trapper throws a blood soaked gauze at the gas passer (I assume not on purpose)...

No way in ten years I'd have guessed Smilin' Jack. Good call, Miss Ginger.
Fun game, Big Daddy...keep them coming.

Never heard that story. The way I remember it was Morgan was told he'd have a photo of Mrs. Potter on his desk. Morgan asked if he could use a photo of his actual wife and the Gelbart/Reynolds agreed.

Re: New Game: The Face is Familiar
The man in the white scarf has to be John Orchard who played Ugly John in the first season of MASH. He also played the MP Muldoon in a season 8 episode which I cannot remember off the top of my head...A Night at Rosie's?

Don't go to BCA for anything. Time to boycott until The Fool on the Hill is gone.
Yeah, that's Goldman. Ever see Goldman in the "Checkup" episode when the enlisted are getting physicals? That dude is buff. He could bench press both Trapper and Hawkeye and break Frank in two.

Re: Who Was Your Most Relatable Character?
I would say I am a mix of Radar for his naive lack of social smarts and early BJ for his dependability, rationality, and being a decent guy. If only I had BJ's looks, medical skill, and ability to afford Mill Valley, CA.

Re: The Weakest Link
I can agree with Klinger as weakest link, but only starting with Season 8 once he was company clerk. Seasons 1-7, Klinger was used sparingly and in bursts (think Newman on Seinfeld) and came across much funnier. Any episode with Klinger in drag is better than Klinger in fatigues. But I would have to...

Thanks, R.J. Your web site is outstanding with a lot of great information. I love the articles about the running nurses from the opening credits and the various nurses at the 4077th.

Re: Have You Ever Read The Book?
I just read the book a few months ago and thought it was pretty good. I thought it interesting how Trapper seemed to be the centerpiece of the 4077th and Hawkeye, although dominant in his own way, seemed more like the sidekick. Of course, these roles would get reversed on the TV show. I also was sur...
