Announcing the Great 2015 M*A*S*H Episode Poll

I’ve mentioned at the forums and maybe here at the blog that I have trouble coming up with a new poll question every month. That’s why I sometimes leave a poll up for two months. I’ve run through all the easy questions and I’ve already reused one or two. While pondering about what to ask this month I suddenly thought why not have a year-long episode poll? So that’s what I’m doing.

This month visitors will be asked to pick their favorite episode from Season 1. Next month will be Season 2, then Season 3 in March and so on until Season 11 in November.

In December, one last poll will collect the favorite episodes from each season and ask visitors to choose their favorite of those. It’s not scientific at all but I think it will be interesting at the end of 2015 to see which episode winds up being chosen the favorite of the favorites.

  1. Terrific idea for a new 2015 series of polls! This should be great fun to see which episodes when the “tournament”.

  2. I agree! And it looks like I’ll be referencing the episode guides on this Web site in order for me to get that “oh yeah – I remember this one!” moment for some of the episodes. 🙂 I think this year’s poll will be a fun one, for sure! Good idea, RJ.

    1. I must say though that having to decide which episode is my favorite might be a challenge, albeit a fun one! “Tuttle”? Sure! “Sometime you Hear the Bullet”? Yep – that’s a good one!” The Longjohn Flap”? That’s another good one! Etc….. Wow! 🙂

  3. Season 1 was pretty easy for me to pick a favorite, but season 2 will be difficult! There are so many good episodes in season 2!

  4. Indeed, and likewise, it’s going to be difficult for me to vote in certain seasons, or at the very least, narrow down the selection to one. Season One, for example, my favorites are “To Market, To Market,” “Requiem for a Lightweight,” “Cowboy,” “Henry, Please Come Home,” “Dear Dad,” “The Long-John Flap,” and “The Army-Navy Game.” If I had to narrow those down to one, maybe I’d vote “Cowboy,” out of sentimentality, as it was the very first episode I ever taped when I started watching the show on Hallmark Channel almost an entire decade ago, and I had just started watching from the beginning, so that’s how quickly I got into the show.
