Here’s a segment from the Friday, January 14th, 1983 installment of WCBS-TV’s (New York City’s CBS affiliate) Channel 2 News at 11, featuring a report on the last day of filming from sister station KNXT-TV (now KCBS-TV) in Los Angeles. Included is footage from the final scene being filmed as well as some comments from Loretta Swit.
They mention that some of the actors would never have to work again… I didn’t even know that residuals existed back then.
They recieved about $6,000.00 a year.
That’s like roughly $500 a month… there’s no way they would not have to work ever again on a small amount like that… even back in those days.
