Does Anyone Own Any Of The Mash DVD's?

Talk about all things M*A*S*H -- the novel, the film, the television series, even the play. Not to mention the spin-offs, merchandise, cast, crew and anything else you can think of to talk about.

I have Seasons One through Five in a rare, limited edition gift set, Seasons Six and Seven individually, and the GFA set that includes the extra features, because I was among those who complained to 20th Century Fox about how wrong it was for fans to have to repurchase all eleven seasons again in a huge boxed set, just to get the special features we had been denied on all the other sets.

Plus, I personally oppose complete series sets: if a show didn't last long (like The Munsters for example, which lasted only two seasons), that's one thing, it's more logical to do complete series sets for shows that lasted a season or two at best, not for long-running shows like M*A*S*H and such.

Why do you think so? I think it's more convenient (here at least) because often the places that sell T.V DVDs sell them separately and don't have the seasons that you want. We found it very difficult to find any M*A*S*H seasons after 1-3 at Walmart or HMV. I still don't see them there now. But I guess it's probably different in the U.S.

For Christmas, me and my dad got the Martinis and Medicine Collection which has all the seasons and special features. It also has a copy of the M*A*S*H movie and a clipboard which has a little book inside it. I really like the look of the box and how the DVDs are organized. I still bought a special case for the discs because the discs were hard to put back in.

I have the individual season box sets 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9 & 11. So just two more to go until the complete set is mione. :)

Now, what's this about special features? Is this a Region 1 thing? Can anyone share a link to Amazon? :D

I purchased the first five seasons individually and then decided to hold off on getting the rest of the series, figuring it was more than likely that a complete series set would be released. When it was announced, I sold the five seasons I did buy and then got the complete series set.

Garbage Officer, the Martinis & Medicine Collection includes two discs of bonus features (documentaries/specials, some bloopers, an unproduced script and more) that were later released in a separate collection alongside the final episode. Both of these releases were Region 1 (United States, Canada). The Martinis & Medicine Collection was also released in Region 2 (U.K., etc) with the bonus features. I am not sure if it was released in Region 4 (Australia) but there may be a different complete collection without the bonus features.

Thanks for the information. I've seen the boxset before so if I happen to stumble upon it on sale, I might purchase a copy, otherwise I'll look into getting a Region1 copy.

I own all eleven - the individual season box sets.

Watching on DVD not only allows me to see M*A*S*H whenever I like, but I can turn off the distracting (and unnecessary) laugh track.

I got the last two seasons on DVD now. I checked out Amazon and found a R1 version of GFA, so I'm going to get that for the features. :)

Yep. All 11 seasons, the 1970 movie, and that bonus-material 2-disc set (featuring the series finale).

The Whole box set was realesed here, however, I'm pretty sure the special 'Goodbye Farewell & Amen' DVD pack thing wasn't released over here.. So my brother bought mine online from the US i think..
I also own each individual season on DVD.. I remember having the first two seasons for like 6 months, before i found season three.. So i just watched them over and over and over.. To the point where my dad bought me my own TV and DVD player because he was sick of me hogging the downstairs TV when he wanted to watch sport
