Embed YouTube videos in posts

Post by RJ » Sun Jun 05, 2011 6:51 pm

You can now easily embed YouTube videos in posts. All you need to do is find the video ID for the YouTube video. The video ID is the string of letters and numbers after ?v= in the url:

Code: Select all

URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIn5J6YJAmQ
Video ID: oIn5J6YJAmQ
Then click on the youtube button (next to Font color) when writing your post and enter the video ID:

Code: Select all

And voila:

Coolness, like here's a vid I just uploaded today...

Funnily enough, I went through that EXACT same thing one time when I was complimenting a girl that I (used to) like, and the conversation really got awkward and I was clutching my chest and was like, "Gee, I'm getting nervous..."

But it's great that forums are able to embed YouTube videos now, that used to be an issue years ago because of bandwidth and webspace and such.
