Track the M*A*S*H episodes you watch in 2014

Talk about all things M*A*S*H -- the novel, the film, the television series, even the play. Not to mention the spin-offs, merchandise, cast, crew and anything else you can think of to talk about.

Track the M*A*S*H episodes you watch in 2014

Post by RJ »

I thought it might be interesting for people to keep track of how many episodes of M*A*S*H they watch in 2014. So far, I have not watched any but we are only two days into the new year. Feel free to either continually edit your initial post or keep posting updates every so often and at the end of the year we can see who watched the most.

I don't know if it's possible to keep track of the episodes I watch since I fall asleep to M*A*S*H practically every night. :ugeek:

I seriously set the DVD to "Play All" and watch till I fall asleep and then sometime restart it if I wake up and it has played through once.

On average I actually watch minimum 2 episodes a night before I fall asleep, so I guess that makes approximately 730 episodes a year (minimum).

Most of the episodes I watch are Seasons 5 through 11 since seasons 1 through 4 don't have the 'play all' selection on the dvds.

I do the EXACT same thing! Having the MASH voices and sounds in the background is relaxing and truly reminds me of when I was younger and life was simpler.

I've pretty much already shared what my year-round watching rituals are, so I really don't feel it necessary to keep track of those episodes I watch throughout the year.

HOWEVER... I WILL post in this thread and keep track of just random episodes I may watch on any given day, aside from my watching rituals.

Edit: January 14/15, 2014
I'm watching, "The Moose" (1x05) right now. For some reason, whenever I end up having to stay up late for any reason, I feel like watching this episode, I don't know why.

Edit: January 26, 2014
I felt like watching "It Happened One Night" (4x04) last night, so I did.

Edit: January 27, 2014
I started watching "Welcome to Korea, Part 1" (4x01) this morning, but then I ended up stopping, so... yeah.

February 12, 2014
Watched "The Late Captain Pierce" (4x05) today; it's been snowing today... not a whole lot of accumulation, and I got to feeling like watching this episode since it's really the only one where we see snow on the ground (aside from the tag of "Dear Sis" (7x15).

February 14, 2014
I kinda went all out today. I watched...
"Love Story" (1x14)
"Springtime" (3x06)
"The Party" (7x26)
"Good-bye, Radar, Part 1" (8x04)

March 3, 2014
I don't know why, but today, I felt compelled to watch "Too Many Cooks" (8x01).

March 9, 2014
And today, for some reason, I was compelled to watch "Good-bye, Radar, Part 1" (8x04)... I guess I had Ken Levine's anecdotes on my mind, and wanted to revisit the episode myself.

March 15, 2014
And "Good-bye, Radar, Part 1" again today, for some reason.

March 16, 2014
"Good-bye, Radar, Part 2" (8x05) and "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen" (11x16), and that's it for me.

I have watched all of Seasons One & Two, on DVD of course, so far this year.

I am currently on Season 7 Disc 3. I might go right on to Season 8 but I may jump back to an earlier season. Decisions, decisions. :bj2:

Add me to the list of persons who fall asleep to the discs every night... and who often wake up during the night and start them again. Gotta watch out for gunfire and bomb sounds, though, and Margaret's shrill voice, which can pierce eardrums.

The only episode that wakes me up is "Hawk's Nightmare". When Hawkeye wakes up screaming it tends to wake me (and the wife) up from a dead sleep. Then I get smacked. LOL. I usually skip that episode if I can. :bj2:
