Interesting eBay finds

Talk about all things M*A*S*H -- the novel, the film, the television series, even the play. Not to mention the spin-offs, merchandise, cast, crew and anything else you can think of to talk about.

Interesting eBay finds

Post by RJ »

I thought it might be fun to post interesting, unusual or strange eBay finds relating to M*A*S*H. Here are are few to get things going:

A very weird looking but apparently official beach towel, circa 1974
Rare Hawkeye Durham motorcycle (which I wrote about back in 2010)
Cobi (like LEGOs) building block M*A*S*H set
Unpainted Hawkeye action figure head sculpt

I am sure there are plenty of other weird and wacky M*A*S*H items up for auction at the moment.

Wow, they are weird. The towe's kind of cute, though I think the curly haired guy is meant to be Trapper not BJ. I can't imagine buying of these though.

Nice finds RJ! Very cool stuff 8-)

The towel is a cool old piece of memorabilia. That Cobi toy set is strange and awesome little item.

I had never heard of Cobi before and initially thought it was just a LEGO rip-off but they are very popular in Poland and the company has a large military line. Here is the website.

You can buy the MASH set at Amazon.com for $49.64. If it was closer to $20 I might buy it simply because I loved LEGOs when I was a kid and it would be pretty neat to have a pseudo-LEGO MASH set.

That beach towel, I agree, that is a rather weird item... the caricatures of the cast are amusing, but I mean other than that...

I do however LOVE that sculpted Hawkeye head, it looks almost like an actual bust of Alan Alda, the details are incredible, and the likeness is simply amazing.

Here's another weird find: just the box for the Tristar Jeep. Not the Jeep, not the Jeep in the box, just the box.

Some collectors out there like to be able to have the original boxes and packaging and such for the times, so something like this would probably be ideal for a collector who may have one of those jeeps, but may have perhaps junked the box, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

I think the weird part is that someone had just the box to sell.

How about a M*A*S*H Halloween costume? Two are up for auction at eBay right now:

RJ, if you are talking about the Klinger Bobblehead here is a link about it. It was given out at a Mud Hens game. I have one myself. You may find one on Ebay. Hope this helps, Jerry
