Use this thread to discuss 08x25: April Fools.
A pretty great comedic episode to top off the season. And I think this one may actually be even better the second time. Of course, the pranks between the main characters are all great, but once you know that the visiting Colonel is part of a prank, his excessive put-downs of the doctors and Margaret actually become pretty funny in their own way IMO. And I love how he plays along with Klinger's scheme.
Also, knowing that was a prank makes the most cringey moment of the episode more bearable: the over-acting when Potter was yelling at everyone. I think that for the most part, Harry Morgan was a great actor on the show, both in terms of comedic and dramatic acting. However, there were certain moments (particularly in these later seasons) when Potter screamed a lot at different characters, and the acting seemed very over-done, and this was a good example of that. But as I said, it does kind of make more sense here, since it was a prank, and I could see Potter kind of hamming it up.
