With the nature of this episode, this could have easily seemed redundant, since we've already seen a few episodes with Potter being upset about something, and taking it out on others. However, I think they handled it very well with this episode. Part of the credit goes to the writers, both because they didn't have him yelling at everyone like usual (the closest he got was his speech about horses), and because of the great writing, especially for the tontine/toast scene at the end. But of course, Harry Morgan deserves a lot of credit as well, since he did a fantastic job portraying the necessary emotions while explaining about the tontine, and then toasting his dead friends. Probably one of his best (if not the best) dramatic performances by him on the show.
