Re: (07x09) 156 - Major Ego
As I've been rewatching this season, I've realized just how much of a focus they put on Charles this season. So many of the episodes have had a storyline revolving around his character, to the point where I can't help thinking the writers had already grown to truly love the character and the differe...

Re: (07x08) 155 - They Call the Wind Korea
It's strange... While rewatching this today, I remembered Radar's story almost perfectly, and I remembered the ending where Charles and Klinger were close to camp. Besides those things, it was almost like watching a new episode. Anyway, this is another really strong episode IMO. I love episodes like...

Re: (07x07) 154 - None Like It Hot
This was always an episode I enjoyed, but for some reason, I managed to enjoy it even more than I expected this time around. There were a lot of great bits in this episode, like Hawkeye's over-joyed reaction to being in the tub the first time, Father Mulcahy telling everyone off for being impatient,...

Re: (07x06) 153 - The Billfold Syndrome
I really liked this episode. I thought the story with the medic was very interesting, with the hypnotism being a great dramatic climax to the episode. And of course, Sidney's always a welcome addition to the show. As for Charles' story, I thought it had a lot of great humor, with him getting so fed ...

Re: (07x05) 152 - Our Finest Hour, Part 2
I'm not someone who automatically hates an episode because it's a "lazy" or "cheap" clip show. There are quite a few clip shows which do feel like cheap filler to pad out shows (with the worst being on more serious hour-long series), but there can be some pretty enjoyable ones de...

Re: (07x03) 150 - Lil
Not exactly one of the better episodes IMO. I will say, I do like the idea of Potter wanting the company of someone his own age, while he's usually around people a lot younger than him. However, didn't really care for Radar's reaction to it. I understand he that he sees marriage as sacred, and he lo...

Re: (07x02) 149 - Peace on Us
For a while, I didn't particularly care for this one. It definitely stretches credibility having Hawkeye be able to get into the peace conference. Also, as a whole, I didn't really mind the "preachiness" of the show or Hawkeye's character, but there were definitely times it could be a bit ...

Re: (07x01) 148 - Commander Pierce
This episode is the first of what I consider a trilogy of episodes within seasons 7 and 8, along with "Preventative Medicine" and "Guerilla My Dreams," which take a harder look at Hawkeye's character, and the types of actions he's taken and attitude he's had throughout the series...

Re: Who do you like more.....
Overall, I prefer the replacement characters. With Potter and BJ, I think it may be a bit unfair to compare. Both characters were in what I consider to be the peak of the series (from season 4 to either season 8 or 9), and the writers didn't really flesh out the characters as much in the early seaso...

Re: Season 2 General Discussion
With the second season, I feel like they did a very good job of taking what was good about the first season, with the funny, often farcical stories, and the great comedic character dynamics (while cutting a lot of the fat from the first season), while starting to push it towards becoming more of a d...

Re: Season 1 General Discussion
Going back and watching the first season always seems a bit strange to me. The season is definitely a bit rough around the edges, as they tried to work out the show's identity. Some episodes seemed a bit too silly at times, such as the conclusion to "Major Fred C. Dobbs," and some characte...
