Re: (09x18) 216 - Blood Brothers
I know it sound strange, considering how effective some of MASH's dramatic moments are, but before my current rewatch of the series, where one or two episodes have hit me pretty hard, this was the only episode I actually remember causing me to cry. Of course some episodes came very close, but this e...

Re: (09x17) 215 - Bless You, Hawkeye
I'll admit, I'm a bit biased when it comes to this episode: I love Sidney's character, and whenever he not only appears, but actually takes the spotlight, it's pretty much a guarantee that I'll enjoy it. I also love when he has a lot of time playing off Hawkeye's character, since they have a great d...

Re: (09x16) 214 - The Red/White Blues
An ok episode, but there are definite issues with it, like Hawkeye (especially) and Margaret automatically assuming Klinger is faking it to get back at Potter, and some of the over-the-top attempts at keeping Potter's blood pressure low.

Re: (09x15) 213 - Bottoms Up
Probably my least favorite episode of the season. I think the idea of Margaret dealing with a nurse who was a friend with a drinking problem was an interesting basis for an episode, but I don't really think it worked for me. And the side-story with the pranks wasn't that great either, though I will ...

Re: (09x14) 212 - Oh, How We Danced
A very enjoyable episode. I like how Hawkeye goes to such great lengths to make BJ's anniversary better. The scene with the video from home was very touching, and it's great to once again see Peggy (with her first appearance being "Dreams), and seeing Erin for the first time. The story with Cha...

Re: (09x13) 211 - No Laughing Matter
Another very strong episode. I thought both stories worked very well on their own, with Hawkeye's desperate need to tell jokes at every opportunity, and Charles' groveling so he could be transferred to Tokyo were both great. But I think that, outside of maybe "Blood Brothers," this was one...

Re: (09x12) 210 - Depressing News
This was probably the second time I watched this episode, and it ended up being a lot more enjoyable than I remembered it being (not that I disliked it the first time, it just didn't stand out as much). I really liked the use of the tongue depressors: representing all the potential patients for howe...

Re: (09x11) 209 - No Sweat
I feel like I should like this one more than I do. I generally like the weather-based episodes a lot, and there is a basis for a solid episode here, but a lot of it didn't really click for me. I'm not even sure how to explain it, but it kind of felt off. Maybe intentionally so, given the heat and sl...

Re: (09x10) 208 - Operation Friendship
As much as I love Charles' character, and have grown to really like his relationship with Klinger, this one doesn't really work for me. There were some decent moments, mostly with Charles' reactions to dealing with Klinger taking advantage of Charles' gratitude, but for the most part I didn't really...

Re: (09x09) 207 - Taking the Fifth
As I've been rewatching these later seasons, I've actually grown to really like the growing trend of having Hawkeye's womanizing seem more desperate and over-the-top. For example, his scenes were my favorite part of "War Co-Respondent." Admittedly, I can see why some people may be put off ...

Re: (09x08) 206 - Tell It To The Marines
The worst I could say about this episode as a whole is that other episodes did this kind of story better. However, I still enjoyed this one for what it was. There were some really funny lines, as Hawkeye was arguing with Van Liter's CO, and writing his article, and then BJ making fun of Hawkeye's wr...

Re: (09x07) 205 - Your Retention Please
A decent episode. One thing I had forgotten before actually rewatching it was the emphasis on the fact that Klinger being drunk while signing the retention forms would negate the validity of him doing so, and that he would have to do it again while sober. I really liked that the writers didn't overl...

Re: (09x06) 204 - A War for all Seasons
While the show's continuity issues don't really bother me, I can easily see how this episode may put off anybody who is bothered by it, since it makes it that much more messy. But that aside, this was a truly ingenious episode IMO (and going back-to-back with "Death Takes a Holiday," it re...

Re: (09x05) 203 - Death Takes a Holiday
If I had to rank the three Christmas episodes, I'd put this at the bottom of the list. But that says more for the strength "Dear Dad" and "Dear Sis" than it does for this episode, because this is still a great episode overall. Of course, one can nitpick at the plot with the wound...

Re: (09x04) 202 - Father's Day
Rewatching this episode, I was kind of surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It wasn't one of Margaret's best episodes, but I did like her story with her father, especially how he tried pushing her away in order to stay strong in her eyes. Though I think my favorite aspect of that story was actually M...
