Re: Season 9 General Discussion
Agreed. In general the episodes are very forgettable.
I did enjoy the moment in "Letters" when Virginia's letter breaks through Charles arrogant facade, with a leaf from a Birch tree.

Re: Least Favorite Episodes
I agree with many of the episodes named as good candidates for my least favorite. I personally wasn't a fan of "Snap Judgement/Snappier Judgement". A very contrived story that should have been relegated to a sub-plot in a single half-hour episode. To stretch it into two episodes seemed laz...

Re: Favorite Character?
This question reminds me why I like MASH so much. Almost every character has moments that I love…sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, sometimes endearing. I can't really pick a favorite.

RIP Robert Hogan - Smilin' Jack
The veteran actor who appeared in M*A*S*H as chopper pilot Smilin' Jack has died at his home in Maine on May 27, 2021. The New York Times states his cause of death was ‘complications from pneumonia’. He also suffered an eight-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease before his death. I always liked this...

I love the Captain Sloan scene.
Sloan: More accurately, I'm with the 375th Q. M. H. Q., COMSEAPAC, SEOULSEC REPDEP.
Hawkeye : Maybe I'll have that drink.

Re: Who Is Your Least Favorite Character On Mash?
For me it would be Klinger. The character simply did not add much to the show. This fact was compounded by the character's lack of depth and Farr's lack of acting ability. Klinger did have his moments both comedic and dramatic, but they were few and far between... Are you serious? Are we talking ab...

Sex happens to be one of the most important things in life inasmuch as each one of us is one or the other gender of it once we're born, which is the direct result of the act of it. This will be a real test of my leadershipmanship. General Mitchell, it is both an honor and a privilege and a pleasure ...

Re: (10x20) 238 - Sons and Bowlers
The "bowling" plot line is not good.
The redeeming quality in this episode is the dialogue between Hawkeye & Charles.
Superb acting by David Ogden Stiers: “Actually, Hawkeye… I've never told you anything before.”

Re: Rate them as actors,..
I tend to agree with Mr. Kwong's rankings and associated comments with the following changes:
Loretta Switt is a fairly good actress and I'd place her in the 4-6 ranking.
I'd place David Ogden Stiers in the top 5.
Jamie Farr at the bottom, with William Christoper and Mike Farrell tied for 2nd worst.

Trapper : How about a snort, Henry? Hawkeye: Hey, we took the pledge, remember? Trapper: Oh. Hawkeye: B.T. Henry: B.T. ? Hawkeye: Bushy tail. Henry: Captain Sloan here is with Supply. Slone: More accurately, I'm with the 375th Q.M.H.Q. COMSEAPAC SEOULSEC REPDEP. Hawkeye: Maybe I'll have that drink.

Henry: Why don't you call me Henry, for Pete's sake.
Margaret: [drunk] That's really swell of you, Pete.
