Re: Favorite Era
Seasons 1 thru 8 are my favorite era of the series. There was a balance with the comedy and drama in those years. I enjoy Trapper and B.J. equally though i do feel Hawkeye's friendship with B.J. was the more significant one.

Re: Favorite Character?
I don't have a favorite character as i like something about each one on the series. Even Frank who was hard to take at times. I will say that when it comes to the nurses Margaret, Bigelow, and Kellye are the best.

Re: Who Is Your Least Favorite Character On Mash?
First i like Trapper and B.J. Second i don't have a least favorite character. They were things about each main character that i feel were exaggerated through the series like Hawk not knowing when to leave things alone at times or Margaret in the early years with her military strictness. Charles feel...

Hawkeye- his dad and his sister. Hawkeye needed them to keep a hold on his sanity.

B.J.. Trapper, Potter, Radar, Margaret, and Klinger. Each character has a specific skill, talent, and ability to survive and cope with tough situations. They are smart, capable, focused, and have a fundamental faith. Potter and Margaret would organize things using their military training/common sens...

Yes, I'd still have Frank leave in Season 5 just with a regular discharge. Charles brought new opportunities for stories along with his being a good person underneath the snobbish behavior.

Re: If you were a writer for the TV series M.A.S.H how would you of changed it?
Kept the series a comedy with undertones of drama. The show worked best when their was a balance with that also Frank staying the way he was in Seasons 1 thru 3. Henry getting home safely to his family in Illinois. Hawkeye leaving instead of Trapper. I think Trapper had more complexity that needed t...

Re: (08x23) 196 - War Co-Respondant
An episode that comes across as forced and unnatural. If B.J. were going to stumble/be tempted again it seems that one of the nurses he works with on a regular basis is the natural choice. I like a lot of Season 8 but not this episode. Aggie did come across as a drifter who did not want romantic att...

Thanks Big Daddy O'Reilly. It must've been another nurse i heard being called Sarah. Peggy would've been short for Margaret or Marjorie.

I believe it was Lt. Sarah Bigelow. One of the nurses called her Sarah but don't recall the episode.

Re: Who do you like more.....
Trapper was kind, smart, funny, skilled as a surgeon, a prankster who knew where to draw the line, never apologized for this behavior and stood his ground without being self righteous. However, if he had stayed on i could see that changing to angry over missing out on his children's lives and yes mi...

Re: Death of Henry Blake
Impact. Henry's death represented that war is horrific and devastating. It takes away good people and that no one is safe when they are in the middle of it.
