Re: How do you split MASH eras?
I think we already have a thread about this, but truth be told, I'm too lazy to go browsing for it right now. Interestingly, the producers of M*A*S*H feel rather similarly to the way you do; according to them, they feel Seasons 1-4 are "the same", Season 5 stands alone, and Seasons 6-11 are "differe...

Re: Radar's voice changed
That's because for all those years, Gary Burghoff was actually pitching his own voice a little higher to give Radar a more youthful sound when he spoke. By the time he was brought back for Radar's two-parter, he was so burned out of playing Radar, that he didn't even want to bother with changing his...

Re: TOP M*A*S*H FACEBOOK GROUPS
#1 on your list was ruined by one specific member who was very much like Frank Burns: all he ever did was whine and moan, and would lash out at and attack any and everybody who posted something he didn't personally like, as if everything that was posted to or shared with that group had to be persona...

Re: (06x04) 126 - Last Laugh
As far as the story is concerned, some fans have theorized that Charles was involved in some kind of off-camera protest of sorts trying to nullify his permanent transfer to the 4077th since, production-wise, this episode was filmed right after "Fade Out, Fade In."

Re: Help figuring out an episode
What song are you talking about though? Off the top of my head, the one that's coming to my mind is where Radar is singing a lullabye to the little Korean girl, which would be "The Kids" from Season 4. There's also "Movie Tonight" from Season 5, where everyone has a sing-along in the Mess Tent, and ...

Here are a couple of lovely ladies who would have been delightful on M*A*S*H: https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/love-and-the-eskimo-airdate-october-30-1970-marlyn-mason-picture-id98616611?s=612x612 https://images3.static-bluray.com/products/22/36536_2_front.jpg Marlyn Mason and Marj Dusay I feel ...

He actually said, "Uh-oh, Andy," to Radar.
He actually calls Radar "Andy" a few times throughout the series . . . this is before my time, so I don't quite know the details, but this is supposedly a refence to a youthful Mickey Rooney character named Andy, whom I guess was popular at the time.

Re: (01x03) 003 - Requiem for a Lightweight
Makes sense, when you consider a lot of the production crew from HOGAN'S HEROES transitioned to M*A*S*H in the beginning, including writer Laurence Marks, who did actually recycle some Hogan dialogue for Hawkeye. One specific example I can give you is from the HH episode "One Army at a Time," where ...

Re: Character Actors I Would Have Love to Have Seen on M*A*S*H
Here's yet another one I just thought to add to the list: https://hips.hearstapps.com/digitalspyuk.cdnds.net/14/02/movies-larry-d-mann_1.jpg?resize=480:* Larry D. Mann I saw this guy quite frequently on BEWITCHED in various different roles, including a police officer who arrested Darrin to trespassi...

Another one to add: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/hhwikia/images/7/73/Ad-office-green.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130816191522 Woodrow Parfrey Appearing on comedies like BEWITCHED, I DREAM OF JEANNIE, HOGAN'S HEROES, and GET SMART, as well as heavier subjects like PERRY MASON, GUNSMOKE, BONANZA, ...

Here's one I forgot to add to my list the other day: https://images.findagrave.com/photos250/photos/2006/346/6107367_116607719822.jpg Noam Pitlik This guy was almost everywhere back in the day, both on and off camera. Re: Character Actors I Would Have Love to Have Seen on M*A*S*H
That's something else I think would have been interesting, if somehow any of the actors reprised their roles from HOGAN'S HEROES on M*A*S*H, showing that those characters were now involved in the Korean War. In addition to either Richard Dawson or Robert Clary, I could easily see Larry Hovis return ...

Character Actors I Would Have Love to Have Seen on M*A*S*H
One of the things that sitcoms and other shows of the 50s and 60s were noted for was their use of familiar faces in guest appearances, recurring roles, and other incidental parts - you would see these character actors on various different shows all the time, but this didn't seem to necessarily be so...

Re: Funky Background Music?
"To Market, To Market" perhaps made the most use of the funky and quirky music scoring, and yes, I too love the music that was used as we see Henry and Frank watching Henry's desk being whisked away by a chopper. I also loved the score that was used in "White Gold" while Flagg tears the tent apart t...

Re: Hawkeye
It was actually towards the end of Season 4. But no, the reason why this episode was made was because Larry Gelbart wanted to experiment to see if just one character could carry the whole show themselves . . . but unfortunately, Hawkeye was kind of a poor choice, given that he was already the unoffi...
