    Signpost Reproduction + M*A*S*H Fundraiser

    Monday, April 9th, 2012 at 8:01 am

I have another signpost reproduction to share, this one built by artist and military veteran SM (who served in the Korean DMZ from 1970-1972). As withe every reproduction, it is an impressive piece of work. Here it is:

I have added a picture to my Prop Spotlight: The Signpost page. SM built the signpost for a Siena Heights University (located in Adrian, Michigan) Student Veterans M*A*S*H-themed fundraiser to be held this Saturday (April 14th). Below is a flyer for the fundraiser:

    New Prop Spotlight: Potter’s Paintings

    Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 at 9:03 pm

I’ve put together a new Prop Spotlight featuring Potter’s Paintings, which you can find here. There were a total of eight paintings actually seen on screen and three others that Potter was working on but were not shown. You can see them all, read a little about who actually painted them (hint: nobody knows) and where they are today (another hint: nobody knows).

Feel free to hit the comments with your favorite painting. I’m partial to the painting of Hawkeye with his feet on a table from “Hawkeye Get Your Gun” and the painting of an angry Charles with his mouth open from “The Winchester Tapes.”

    Dimensions of the M*A*S*H Signpost

    Friday, July 9th, 2010 at 8:59 pm

I received an e-mail the other day from Greg, a M*A*S*H fan who wants to build a recreation of the famous signpost. He’s looking for dimensions of the signs themselves that he can use and I’m hopeful that someone can help him out. Several other fans have made their own signposts in the past (you can see examples here) so maybe one day someone will put together instructions.

Please e-mail me or leave a comment if you can help.

    Another Miniature Signpost

    Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at 8:23 pm

The very talented Steven, who was kind enough to send me pictures of the full size replica of the signpost he built, e-mailed me with photographs of a miniature version he has sitting on his desk. I’ve added it to Prop Spotlight: The Signpost. Here’s a close-up of the base:

    Popsicle Stick Signpost

    Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 at 12:22 pm

Joe sent me an e-mail containing pictures of a signpost he built out of Popsicle sticks. It’s pretty impressive:
