This Week on M*A*S*H: September 17, 2017

Every Sunday, I’ll be listing episodes of M*A*S*H and AfterMASH celebrating anniversaries in the coming week.

I’m kicking off This Week on M*A*S*H – 2017 Edition on the 45th anniversary of the original broadcast of “M*A*S*H — The Pilot” on CBS on September 17th, 1972. Each week, I’ll post a list of all the episodes of M*A*S*H and AfterMASH that aired decades ago during the week to come. Today’s list includes eight episodes of M*A*S*H and one episode of AfterMASH.

On three occasions, episodes of M*A*S*H aired very early in September, prior to the 17th. They are: “The General Flipped at Dawn,” which aired 43 years ago this month on September 10th, 1974; “Welcome to Korea,” which aired 42 years ago this month on September 12th, 1975; and “Divided We Stand,” which aired 44 years ago this month on September 15th, 1973.

    I love the ending to ‘Rainbow Bridge’ where Radar tucks in Hawkeye and Trapper. It’s one of the great friendship scenes I think. I’ll need to watch it again tonight in honour of its anniversary.
