Looking Back at the Smithsonian M*A*S*H Exhibition

Last week, the National Museum of American History published a blog post looking back at its 1983-1985 M*A*S*H exhibition. It features several photographs and other promotional material relating to the “M*A*S*H: Binding Up the Wounds” exhibition.

The blog post also reproduces a December 1984 memo announcing the exhibition’s one millionth visitor. Overall, it received a total of 1,073,849 visitors between July 30th, 1983 and February 3rd, 1985. Another interesting tidbit? An early working title for the exhibition was “‘M*A*S*H’: The Two Wars.”
