M*A*S*H Coming to Hulu

M*A*S*H will soon be available on Hulu, thanks to a massive deal between the streaming service and 20th Century Fox Television Distribution. All 11 seasons will start streaming “later this summer,” according to Variety. Launched publicly in March 2008, Hulu competes with Netflix and Amazon.

This news comes more than a year after M*A*S*H disappeared from Netflix in April 2016, angering countless fans.

The agreement between Hulu and 20th Century Fox includes almost 3,000 episodes from more than 25 TV shows new and old. In addition to M*A*S*H, Hulu has secured streaming rights to shows like How I Met Your Mother, The Bob Newhart Show, The Grinder, NYPD Blue, Bones, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and St. Elsewhere. A complete list can be found at Variety.

Hulu is currently only available in the United States and Japan. In the United States, subscriptions cost $7.99 per month with advertisements or $11.99 per month without ads.

While this doesn’t affect me personally, since I do have the DVDs, and don’t have a Hulu subscription, I’m actually happy to hear this news, if only because it will give old fans another outlet to watch the series and potentially allow new people to discover the series. For those peoples’ sakes, I do hope this deal last longer than the Netflix deal. I’m guessing it will, since it’s a bigger deal, including quite a few shows.

    • Kay Sheets says:

It is now October 2, 2017 and MASH is not on the program search. How much longer? Or are we not getting it added?

  • BDOR says:

Remember when Hulu used to be good? They used to essentially be like an alternative to YouTube where you could watch full episodes of rare TV shows without having to worry about them being nuked for copyright. Then they became a paid service and now they’re essentially competition for Netflix and crap like that.

    • Will Brook says:

Seriously? You expect everything for free? Amazon and Netflixs have the best content going at a fraction of cable TV. The shows on Netflixs below away regular TV by a mile. All this costs money. Netflixs is now pushing a 100M subscribers. Basic Netflix and Hulu subscriptions run $7.99/month.

      • BR says:

I agree people want everything for free like nobody has to pay for anything on the Netflix or Hulu end of things servers infrastructure people are mostly idiots I guess we just have to live with it

  • Tuttle says:

Fingers crossed that Fox coughed up a few bucks and finally transferred the masters to HD.

    Good day, folks!

Is there any word on when M*A*S*H is coming to Hulu? I’ve been a subscriber for years and they are showing no indication of when it’s coming 🙁

    • M says:

I don’t see it actually happening. All the other shows that were mentioned along with mash are already there. Something must have gone wrong. And it’s the end of the summer.

  • Perry Christensen says:

End of Summer is officially over September 22 (not yet). Tech. Hulu employee told me 11 Seasons is going to be watchable by customers. Mash has special date/show because their 40th anniversary is on September 17,2017!

    • Dorothy says:

Did the Hulu employee you spoke to give you an exact date? Because it’s the 19th of September and MASH is nowhere to be found, nor have there been any press releases or promotional materials/commercials popping up advertising the release. All of the other shows mentioned in the press release are available, but not MASH…

  • Henry Reiter says:

When is mash debut on Hulu

  • D says:

Its all most October and still no m*a*s*h on hulu…what is the problem?

  • Natalie says:

It is now September 30th and still no MASH!! What’s going on? When will it be out?

    • Kris says:

I chatted online with a person at Hulu and they told me that the mash tv series is a title to which they do not have access. Pretty sad.

      • Penguinphysics says:

Does Hulu need to issue a public reaction since there were literally dozens of articles stating the imminent arrival of M*A*S*H?

  • Louis says:

According to a tweet earlier this week from hulu customer support M*A*S*H is coming to hulu but they don’t have a set date. Here’s the link for the tweet https://twitter.com/hulu_support/status/919741063648161792
