Last month visitors to MASH4077TV.com voted “Welcome to Korea” their favorite episode from Season 4. For a while it looked like the season premiere might lose to the season finale but “The Interview” ended up in second place. “Dear Mildred” came in third.

A total of 158 votes were cast, up a bit from the 147 cast during March’s Season 3 poll. Here are the complete results:

  1. Welcome to Korea (18%, 29 Votes)
  2. The Interview (13%, 20 Votes)
  3. Dear Mildred (9%, 15 Votes)
  4. The Novocaine Mutiny (8%, 13 Votes)
  5. Soldier of the Month (8%, 12 Votes)
  6. The Late Captain Pierce (6%, 10 Votes)
  7. The Bus (6%, 9 Votes)
  8. Quo Vadis, Captain Chandler? (5%, 8 Votes)
  9. Change of Command (4%, 7 Votes)
  10. Hawkeye (4%, 6 Votes)
  11. The Price of Tomato Juice (3%, 5 Votes)
  12. Of Moose and Men (3%, 4 Votes)
  13. Der Tag (2%, 3 Votes)
  14. The Gun (2%, 3 Votes)
  15. The Kids (1%, 2 Votes)
  16. Dear Peggy (1%, 2 Votes)
  17. Smilin’ Jack (1%, 2 Votes)
  18. Deluge (1%, 2 Votes)
  19. Mail Call Again (1%, 1 Votes)
  20. The More I See You (1%, 1 Votes)
  21. Some 38th Parallels (1%, 1 Votes)
  22. Dear Ma (1%, 1 Votes)
  23. It Happened One Night (1%, 1 Votes)
  24. Hey Doc (0%, 1 Votes)

As was the case with the Season 3 poll, I’m sure a lot of people had a tough time not automatically voting for a classic episode like “The Interview.” Then again, being a classic doesn’t mean an episode has to be everybody’s favorite. Personally, I once again had a hard time picking a favorite from Season 4 because it’s been so long since I’ve seen most of the episodes. I ultimately voted for “Soldier of the Month,” which came in fifth with 12 votes yet because of some quirk in the poll software tied at 8% with “The Novocaine Mutiny” despite that episode receiving 13 votes.

  1. my personal top 3 for that season:

    Welcome To Korea
    The Interview
    Soldier of the Month

  2. I voted for ‘Welcome to Korea.’ After the shock exit of Henry in Season 3, there were even more surprises at the start of Season 4. Trapper’s exit and BJ’s entrance were handled beautifully. The adventures during the journey to and from Kimpo airport coupled with the bonding already happening between the old and new characters was great to see. Col. Potter’s entrance towards the end was the cherry on top of this terrific episode.

Season 4 started off with a bang and this was just the right episode for it.

  3. I couldn’t vote this time, because there were far too many episodes from this season that I really enjoyed that I couldn’t decide between – and I know that’s going to get harder with each ensuing poll. “Welcome to Korea”, “Change of Command”, “Soldier of the Month”, “The Gun”, “Mail Call Again”, “The Price of Tomato Juice”, “Dear Ma”, “Der Tag”, all great episodes and I just couldn’t decide.

The Season Five poll might be a tad easier, already the two strong contenders in my mind are “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” and “Movie Tonight”, but those are just two of a number of Season Five episodes I enjoy, so again, it’s going to be hard to choose.

  4. I found it hard to decide on this poll but in the end I also voted for Soldier of the Month. It’s cute, it’s funny and I have pleasant memories from when I first saw this episode.

  5. I voted for “The More I See You”. I don’t know what it is about that episode, but I have always absolutely loved it. And Hawkeye’s “It’s her. It’s me. It’s us.” quote is one of my favorite quotes from the show.

  6. This is a very tough season to choose just one…Quo Vadis Captain Chandler? is my favorite episode in the series…As far as this season goes…My other favs after Quo Vadis are The Late Captain Pierce..The Novocaine Mutiny..Der Tag…and Welcome to Korea….
