I completely forgot to post a new poll last month so May’s poll ended up running for a second month. It was another low-response poll, with only 90 votes. It asked visitors to pick their favorite general. Here are the results:

General Mitchell (8%, 7 Votes)My guess is that many casual M*A*S*H fans aren’t all that familiar with the various generals who appeared on the series. I myself had to check IMDb to see which generals had made the most appearances. I voted for General Hammond but in retrospect General Clayton is probably my favorite general.
Preview July’s Poll:
This month’s poll, which may wind up running through August, asks visitors whether they’d watch M*A*S*H if it was available on a streaming service like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video or Hulu.
I voted for Clayton. All 4 generals have their bright moments in M*A*S*H but for some reason Clayton was always my favorite. I especially enjoy him in “Yankee Doodle Doctor”.
I, too, voted for Gen. Clayton because I think we saw the most and knew him the best. He seemed really exasperated with Henry Blake’s command of his unit but at the same time, was very supportive of the camp and it’s doctors.
My favorite part of Gen. Clayton’s appearance is from ‘Cease Fire’ where we all found out that his “warm side had an even warmer side.” Those clips on the slideshow were hilarious.
